The derma roller is a simple tool consisting of a handle with a rotating head that contains more than 500 fine needles. It comes in different sizes depending on the needle length:
0.5 mm – Used for treating wrinkles, acne scars, and suitable for the under-eye area.
1 mm – Used for the face and hair, but not suitable under the eyes.
1.5 mm – 2 mm – Used for skin laxity, cellulite, and hair treatment.
It can be used 2–4 times per week, depending on the condition being treated.
